Why do I need to buy a ticket and one for my child/ children?
Santa's Spectacular has been developed as an immersive family experience - it's not a visit to Father Christmas's Grotto. Together, you will visit the different areas of Santa's workshop at the North Pole. Think of it more as a theatrical production where we create the magic of Christmas together.
Can I drop my child/children off?
Sorry, not for this event. Santa's Spectacular is a family experience. We can not offer supervised care for your child like some of the other activity sessions we offer.
What time should I arrive?
We suggest you allow a minimum of one and half hours for your visit to Santa's Spectacular. Plan your journey to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before your allocated time slot. Please note: We aim to run to a strict schedule. However, we advise you to allow extra time just in case there are unavoidable delays to the advertised schedule.
How do I find the venue?
You can find us in Leyburn at the Methodist Church Hall which is in between One Shop and The Sandpiper Inn. Have a look at our Venue and Travel page. We have provided detailed directions for you. They will also be emailed as part of your booking confirmation.

Is there parking at the venue?
There is no parking at the venue. There is FREE* parking (*payment by honesty box) in the Leyburn Market Place, Commercial Square, Grove Square and The Auction Mart (near the Zebra Crossing). There is a pay and display car park behind The Golden Lion, the postcode for the car park is: DL8 5AS. All are within easy walking distance of Santa's Spectacular at Leyburn Methodist Church Hall, DL8 5AT.
Accessibility
There is level access to the venue and Santa's Spectacular. For the comfort and safety of all attendees, we kindly ask that only assistance dogs be brought to the event, service animals are welcome to accompany their owners to provide the necessary support. How does Santa's Spectacular work?
We are transforming the venue into a magical theatrical experience at the North Pole. Groups of 25 participants will visit the Santa's Spectacular on the hour. Start times vary depending on the chosen day. You can view the options on our flyer or on our booking page.
What should I expect on my visit?
Our team will meet you at reception on arrival. We'll get you checked in and issue wristbands for those who have opted to receive a gift (this is optional).
We have a waiting area where you can leave coats, outdoor footwear, pushchairs etc. There will be games and colouring activities as well as hot and cold refreshments available while you wait to enter the main experience at the North Pole.
Tinsel McJolly will meet you and guide you through Santa's Spectacular. There will be an opportunity to make Christmas Crafts, Write a Letter and post it to Father Christmas, Make a Wish to Hang on the Magic Wish Tree.
On your journey, you will meet Mother Christmas who always has time in her busy schedule to stop for a Festive Story.
It's a busy time for Father Christmas too! He will be helping in the toy making workshop, looking after the reindeer and preparing the sleigh for the big night. If you are lucky, you might catch him with time to spare! He loves to hear everyone's Christmas wishes and have his picture taken.
Finally, there is a visit to the toy and gift shop where there will be a Christmas treat for everyone (presents optional).
I didn't book a gift - can I add one for my visit?
No problem! Anyone who has booked the gift option is given a wristband at reception. You can either add a gift and pay for this on your arrival or contact us on 01969 745810 or email info@santaspectacular.org.
What happens if we miss our booking?
We strongly advise you to allow plenty of time for your journey and arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before your allocated time slot. We can not guarantee late arrivals will be admitted as this may disrupt the enjoyment of everyone taking part. We understand things don't always go to plan. If you do find you are delayed, get in touch as soon as you know and we will endeavour to do what we can to help.
Due to the cost of staging Santa's Spectacular, we are unable to offer refunds. However, Ticketsource, the company which provides our booking facility offer an option to make your ticket refundable (additional costs apply). This is a great way to give peace of mind should illness or travel disruption prevent you from attending Santa's Spectacular.
I don't have any family to attend with but I love the magic of Christmas - can I still attend?
Of course! Santa's Spectacular is all about the magic of Christmas! Whether you are young or young at heart, you are most welcome to believe in the magic. We do! Whether you bring a friend or visit on your own, our friendly team will look after you.
I'd love to come but finances are tight - are there any FREE tickets?
We understand times are tough for some families at the moment. We've done everything we can to keep our ticket prices as low as possible and offer a high-quality, professional experience.
Keep an eye out on social media - we are running FREE entry competitions. To enter you have to like, share the post and tell us why you love Christmas to be entered into the FREE draw. Winners are selected at random. If you do not have access to social media you can call us on 01969 745810 or email info@santaspectacular.org to be entered into the next draw.
One of my children is Under 2 - do I have to buy a ticket for them?
We appreciate some younger members of your family might not be old enough to participate in all activities during your visit to Santa's Spectacular. Under 2s go FREE and will receive a small gift.

We have set the maximum number of visitors to 25 so that your visit to Santa's Spectacular is an enjoyable and comfortable one.
